4. POSTCARDS

Kaarten kunnen echt  kleine kunstwerkjes zijn. Ik heb ze in een groepje aan de muur, doe ze bij een kadootje met persoonlijke boodschap en jawel zo nu en dan gaat er een postzegel op en... 'hoppah' snailmail it is!
Ik haal ze overal vandaan maar vooral uit een museumshop.


Cards can really be little works of art. I have them in a group on the wall, put them in a gift with a personal message and yes, every now and then a stamp goes on it and... 'Bob's your uncle', snailmail it is! 
I get them from everywhere but especially from any museumshop.

5. Jewelry

Deze ekster kan niet zonder haar ringen, wie mij een beetje kent, die weet dat.
Ik maakte deze collectie ringen met de onderbetaalde cacao boeren in West-Afrika (waar 70 procent van alle cacao ter wereld vandaan komt) in gedachte. Deze ringen zijn nl gegoten in diverse chocolade vormen. 

Deze boeren verdienen gemiddeld slechts een derde van het vastgestelde leefbaar inkomen. Soms ligt hun inkomen zelfs onder de absolute armoedegrens. Het gevolg is dat kinderen meewerken op de plantage in plaats van dat zij naar school kunnen gaan. Een schril contrast; de onderbetaalde cacao uit West-Afrika  tegen de vaak chique bonbon in de rest van de wereld.

7. POSTERS

Een aantal jaren gelden kocht ik een broche in Brooklyn New York. Het artwork hiervan vond ik wel heel toepasselijk voor deze 1-Month-Webshop, en dus besloot ik naar affiches op zoek te gaan. Dit is gelukt en nu dus in deze webshop verkrijgbaar in 2 maten: De Power to the People I Power & Equality is hier voor jouw eigenste muur. De afbeelding is gedrukt op canvas en heeft hierdoor een mooie kwaliteit.

A few years ago I bought a brooch in Brooklyn New York. I thought the artwork was very appropriate for this 1-Month Webshop, and so I decided to look for posters. This has been successful and its now available in this webshop in 2 sizes:
The Power to the People I Power & Equality is here for your own wall. The image is printed on canvas and therefore has a beautiful quality.

9. NOTEBOOKS

Ik ben dol op notebooks. Stapels heb ik er en de meeste worden ook echt gebruikt. Geen leven zonder notebooks!
Ze horen ook echt in mijn 1-Month-Webshop!  Dit keer met de originele Freedom logo en een versie met de Nina quote. En hoera, dit jaar een extra bijzondere; de zelf te customizen versie met extra stickers van de twee vorige 1-Month-Webshops 'Say it Loud' & 'Tribe' met als klapper op de vuurpijl  ook nog eens 3 thema ansichtkaarten! 
Notebooks voor al jouw hersenspinsels, doodles en geheugensteuntjes. Ik hou van ze!

I love notebooks. I got loads and most of them are actually used. No life without notebooks!

11. SOCKS

Onze vriendschap gaat jaren terug. Een vriendschap die zich ontwikkeld heeft onder de paraplu van creativiteit en ondernemen. Door weer en wind stonden we op designer markets met onze eigenste producten. We mochten getuige zijn van ieders ontwikkelingen op het creatieve vlak, maar zeker ook in ons persoonlijke leven. Tegenwoordig brengt Naomi met haar 'Nomi by Naomi' merk prachtige African-inspired fashion collecties terwijl zij ook als educator op het culturele vlak actief is. Ik maak een diepe buiging voor haar en vind het te cool dat ik een klein onderdeel van haar collectie mag verkopen. Sokken zijn mijn ding en ik ben verliefd op deze 'For the Culture' socks van Naomi's eigenste brand, (trouwens, ik heb haar laatste collectie gefotografeerd, yeah I did that ; )

Our friendship goes back for years. A friendship that developed under the umbrella of creativity and entrepreneurship. We did loads of designer markets with our own products, no matter the wheater. We were able to witness each others development in the creative field, but most certainly in our personal lives too. Nowadays, Naomi produces beautiful African-inspired fashion collections for her 'Nomi by Noami' brand, while she is also active as an educator in the cultural field. I take a deep bow for her and think it's so cool that I can sell a tiny part of her collection. Socks are my thing and I have a crush on these 'For the Culture' socks from Naomi's own label, (btw. I photographed her latest collection, yeah i did that ;)
